Roz Mosier has been a very active volunteer for many years. Roz is married to Dan Mosier II and has two sons, Danny Mosier and Fisher Mosier. The Mosiers are truly a 4-H family. Dan is the County 4-H Archery Instructor, and Danny and Fisher have been Bone Creek 4-H club members since they were old enough to join. Roz grew up participating in 4-H in Central Missouri. She gave many demonstrations and her projects included foods, cattle, and hogs.

Roz says she made many lifelong friends through 4-H and has many fun memories from the Fair. As a 4-H Alumni she has brought that knowledge and experience to the Crawford County 4-H youth. She became involved with Bone Creek 4-H in 2006 when her children were old enough to participate and was the Co-Club Leader Fall of 2007 – 2017. Roz has volunteered in number of ways. She is currently the Shooting Sports Coordinator in Crawford County. She is a strong believer of 4-H and the many opportunities for growth of the club members and families.

“4-H isn't only for farm kids, there is a project for everyone: foods, livestock, robotics, shooting sports, pets, woodworking, geology, entomology, photography, horticulture, crafts, citizenship, leadership, et al. I enjoy watching the younger members’ confidence grow over the years when it comes to public speaking and giving presentations and talking with the judges. Participation in community service activities is also another great aspect of 4-H. It gives the members pride in their community.”

Roz is always willing to lend a helping hand regardless of the event. She helps to make great events such as the pancake feed, pre-fair BBQ, and many more possible with her time and dedication.

“Record books were my least favorite “project” when I was a 4-H member. I can still picture my mom helping me as I sat at the dining room table in front of the typewriter. It wasn’t much fun back then, but it is a fond memory now and am thankful she took the time to work with me on my paperwork and various projects (still have those record books). The information in the books was a great asset when completing scholarships and other applications. Also, the organizational skills learned are still used today. “

In order to ensure great volunteers in the future she also serves on the Crawford County Volunteer Development Committee. She an active volunteer with a passion and belief in the amazing opportunities that 4-H provides you she plans to continue to volunteer for years to come.

Thank you Roz For all that you do!
