ow, I am not sure where spring went, but it is full steam ahead into summer.

As we finished up some spring activities I did one last after school program for the Neodesha afterschool group. This has been a great experience and I look forward to doing more with this group in the future.

A lot of planning this month for camps and other summer activities, I did up housing for the Wilson County Sunny Hills campers, worked on the Exploring 4-H meeting that is coming up in early June. Also took registrations for Greenbush camp.

We had small animal tag day and along with that our third livestock club meeting, a judging contest. A big thanks to Keith for coming over on a Saturday afternoon and working with the kids and putting officials on the contest. We had 26 members participate, it was a great learning experience for the kids. I am also helping any members with getting the DNA samples they need for state nominations.

I was asked to help with a third-grade program at the Wilson County Medical Center, it is a healthy kids day set up on the walking trail. I set up a healthy portions table; I had five minutes to talk to the kids as they rotated. They only had one class participate, but the 36 kids got a lot out of it.

The Jr. Leaders also did some work on the pollinator garden at the Old Iron Club grounds. That will be an ongoing project.

It is always fun to do a Wildcat Wednesday and I talked about the upcoming favorite foods show.

Plans are set for the Favorite Foods show next week, Discovery Days, camp and working on many other things for the summer. Full steam ahead!
