ecember is a great time to set new goals. It is a time to reflect on the year and assess what goals you have achieved and which ones you are still working toward. As 4-Hers are enrolling for the year they are making the tough decisions on what projects they want to enroll in and what they want to achieve in that project.
I am very excited about the future of STEM programing here in the Wildcat District. I brought back some great ideas from Program Rally and cannot wait to share them with youth here in the district. STEM programs are a great way to learn and have fun doing it. I will be "Expanding our Pawprint" by working with Gear Up. Wichita State University’s Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP program provides educational resources to help middle and high school students succeed. They work to increase the number of students in foster care who graduate from high school fully prepared for enrollment in post-secondary education.
Always remember with the new year comes new ways to get involved. Get involved by becoming a 4-H volunteer. Providing all the amazing learning opportunities to youth in 4-H would not be possible without all of the amazing volunteers.
