e are excited to welcome Michelle Clevenger to Wildcat Extension District as an Extension Nutrition Assistant (EFNEP & SNAP-Ed). Michelle will office in Altamont, taking the position that Jan Booth vacated in August. Heather comes to us having served as a Head Start cook for several years. Her first day on the job will be December 4. Thanks to Mandy and Kylie for serving on the search committee.

Heather Umlauf (Independence Office) is wrapping up her training course and has started seeing clients at the M&I (Maternal and Infant Clinic) in Independence and will soon be spreading her wings to other types of programming.

Diana Quigley (Pittsburg Office) continues to provide nutrition education to prenatal patients at the SEK Community Health Clinic in Pittsburg. A more recent class addition has been Eat Smart, Live Strong at the newest grocery store in Crawford County. I attended the ribbon cutting for the McCune Farm to Market grocery store in September.
