endie Powell joined the Wildcat District on March 13 as the Livestock Agent. She is a product of a Montgomery County cattle ranch, with roots in the local 4-H and FFA programs. Wendie went to Coffeyville Community College for a year before transferring to Texas A&M University- Commerce where she received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and Master of Science in Ag Science.
Wendie worked for the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service for seven-and-half years, serving as a 4-H educator in Creek County for half that time and the agriculture educator and county director in Okfuskee County for the remaining time.
Wendie is looking forward to working with the district with livestock programs and one on one with producers. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her two small children and operating her small cow calf herd.
