What does success mean to you?
J.M. - I think the term success is a strange concept in art. It suggests there is some kind of mark to reach, or finish line to cross which defines an artists' capability. While I believe there are certainly goals to achieve, I feel that creating a finite definition of success is difficult, as that bar changes constantly. I feel absolutely thrilled to have contributed to the community through my work in the past few years ( through murals, illustrations, and children's books), and I look forward to new exciting projects and working to create a positive visual impact in the community.
