James Hodgins - photographer- writer

James is an avid outdoors man that loves to be on the water or in the bush. Creator of the www.northernontariofishingforum.com, an online community for northern Ontario outdoors enthusiasts. James is always looking to meet new people and share past stories and memories along with getting outdoors and making new ones.

Scott Currie – writer

Scott has been fly fishing for more than 25 years and owns and runs Flymart.ca, a premier shop near Massey. Scott spent the first 29 years of his life in Scotland and moved to northern Ontario for love. Scott met his wife, Kelly, on a tour bus in Ireland. They hit it off and eventually settled in Massey. Scott is well regarded in the sport and ties some serious flies in his spare time.

Danielle Rancourt MS, RD - writer

Former NCAA Division I hockey player and registered dietician from Sudbury. She currently works as a performance dietician for EXOS, a human performance company in the United States. She spent her childhood like many northern Ontario children: playing outdoors. Although one can be outdoors anywhere in the world, Rancourt believes there’s truly nothing like camping with friends and family on the lakes of northern Ontario.

Back Roads Bill - writer and photographer

Back Roads Bill has a passion for northern Ontario and the great outdoors.

He is Back Roads Bill on the CBC. His most recent book can be seen at www.steertonorthernontario.ca . He holds degrees and diplomas from Laurentian University, Nipissing University, McMaster University and Durham College.

Ontario Parks have a long history in the province with providing outdoors opportunities for countless people of all ages. Ontario Parks celebrates 125 years in 2018. Dave brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from Ontario Parks and in northern Ontario.
