Fire it up
The Solo Stove series is sure to spark up good times this season, whether it be for cooking food on a canoe trip or hosting friends in the backyard.

The Bonfire features an ultra-efficient airflow that maximizes heat and a top ring that re-circulates smoke and burns it in a secondary combustion for a nearly smokeless effect. It also features Grade 304 stainless steel construction, weighs nine kilograms and is 14-inches high and 19.5-inches wide.
“It’s nothing new, but it is refined and built with great materials,” Ramakkos manager Walter Boeswald said. “It can be safely put on any surface and will not burn it. It is a fantastic way to enjoy a fire outdoors in your yard without bothering neighbours with smoke.”
Drink it up
The Hydro Flask is making a name for itself with its durable and efficient design. These bottles use a double wall insulation called TempShield to keep fluids cold for up to 24 hours and hot for up to 12 hours. It is made of 18/8 stainless steel to maintain taste and purity. The construction means no matter what you have in the flask, it stays comfortable to touch, no sweating or hot surfaces. The flasks come in a variety of sizes and shapes, including tumblers, coffee cups and 64-ounce growlers.
“I’ve bought almost every style to be honest,” Boeswald said. “The Growler is great for any local beer crafter because you can go get it filled with your favourite beer before heading out to camp.”
Chill it up
Go cheap or go all the way? Like a lot of outdoors products, there are pros and cons to buying expensive gear and cheap gear. If keeping food and drinks cold is important at your camp or campsite, then the Pelican Elite series of coolers is your product. “Is it worth the money? Yes,” Boeswald said. “Cheap coolers last a few years and are done. A Pelican cooler will last. Having good gear when outdoors makes a difference.”
Stake it up
The Homestead Domey 3 tent from North Face is aimed at getting more people outdoors and enjoying the bush, bugs and a beer or two. The tents feature unique and vibrant colour schemes and patterns including an orange heat map print and spruce trees pattern. They are a three-person, waterproof single-wall dome tent with three doors, mesh skylight for gazing at the stars on dry nights, fly and Sudstake, which works as a bottle opener and tent stake. The tent checks in at under eight pounds.
“It’s a neat visual design and aimed at the next generation of campers, but works for any camper” Boeswald said.
