4 Contents Editorial “Having worked within the previous Sapa Building System organisation for some years it was towards the end of 2013 that I was introduced in detail to the WICONA brand when I spent 2 interesting days in Ulm in October 2013. The strength and breadth of the product range, together with the impressive facilities at Ulm and Bellenberg reinforced my opinion that a real development opportunity exists in the UK market for the WICONA brand. To achieve this growth we are working closely with the WICONA team on a number of important initiatives to put in place the building blocks to support strong UK development over the coming years. 4 - 5 This is what we call customer relations: Batimat Polyclose Norbygg 6 Profitable investment in Russia 7 WICONA Scheme Wins German Facade Award 8-9 Retrospective view of 2013 10 – 11 WICONA affirms its will to develop quickly in the UK market I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the Wicona team for their help & support and am proud to be part of the red organisation.” 12 – 13 Safety first! 5,000 accident-free days in the Gerstungen Service Centre Jon Palethorpe 7 14 – 15 WICONA employees on course Jon Palethorpe, Commercial Director SBS – UK & Eiree 12 8 10 The Hartlepool College in UK: One of the largest UK applications of Wicona‘s WICTEC 50 aluminium roof glazing system designed by Bond Bryan Architects and built by Miller Construction 2 3
