Biohydrogen production reactor configuration Project
• A pilot unit at a palm oil mill achieved more than 1.5 litres hydrogen per litre POME . The technology was granted patent in 2019 and won the Top 15 Pitch at the Leaders in Innovation Accelerator ( LIA ) 2019
Water and wastewater treatment
• Development of treatment system for batik effluent using MgO catalyst combined with activated carbon
Project
• Pilot unit at a batik making premise , successfully treated batik wastewater to satisfy Standard B discharge
• Development of adsorbents , catalytic particles , and ultrasonic methods to remove wastewater pollutants
• High-rate portable water purification system for drinkable water supply

• Pilot unit developed after 2014 floods ; technology pitched at Leaders in Innovation Fellowship 2017 , Royal Academy of Engineering UK

• Projects with the Department of Environment to develop cleaner production self-assessment system and establish cleaner production practices in small and medium industries
