Nick Anderson
“An editorial cartoonist,
fundamentally, should
be anti-establishment.”
At Ohio State University
Anderson was the editorial
cartoonist for the school’s
newspaper, winning the
Charles M. Schulz Award.
After an internship at The
Louisville Courier-Journal
he spent 15 years there
before joining the Houston
Chronicle. He is syndicated
by the Washington Post
Writer’s Group. Anderson
pioneered a unique method
of coloring his cartoons,
creating digital paintings of
subtle textures and striking
images. He won the Pulitzer
Prize, the Sigma Delta
Chi award, two Fischetti
Awards, and the Berryman
Award. In his spare time,
Anderson enjoys mountain
biking, cycling, lacrosse and
kayaking.
