One thing I learned during Conclave 2018
was to let trust build in little time. Being
around people who are so welcoming and
want to get to know you shakes the
introvert out of you a bit. All the “I got you”
“You’re Good” “ We’re Phamily” “I love you”
some people don’t have the privilege to hear
this offer or at all.
The first thing I want to accomplish as Miss
KIΣS 2018-2020 is to build my sorority
stronger with more transgender women
who are willing, encouraged, empowered,
supported, and have the most pleasant
drive for change for their community.
I feel like myself again because
pageantry, and having a platform takes
a lot out of you and you have to push
yourself no matter what. I’ve been on a
small hiatus and I feel pumped to be
back on the scene to inspire other ladies
about KISS.
On September 1, 2018 I was invited to represent
AQK at the 8th annual Atlanta black Gay Bride
Greek Brunch. I had an amazing time networking
and informing participants about AQK. In October I
attended the In Our Voices Conference in Albany,
New York. There I met the Executive Director,
Tandra Lagrone and remarkable Trans Led
Coordinator, La’Mia Aiken. It was in November I
found out I would become an ambassador for the
first annual Trans March representing the Trans
Masculine. Community. In December I had the
opportunity to take part in a political sit panel with
fellow frat brothers and Libra From KISS at the Bio-
Medical Conference in Los Angeles, Ca. In the
months to come I plan on attending and continuing
to help with the Trans March on March 31. I’m also
the Key Note speaker at the University of Richmond
Lavender graduation and will be attending The
National Black Trans Advocacy Conference &
Awards Gala Conference.
