Do I get a prize?” “As a matter of fact,” he said, opening the wadded paper, “I do.” Looking down, she saw the most beautiful ring she had ever seen. “Lila Hill, will you marry me?” She squealed and threw herself in his arms. “Do you really have to ask?” “That's what the Proposing for Dummies book says.” Lila laughed and kissed his cheek. “Well, successful dummy or not, I say yes.” He placed the ring on her finger and pulled her into an embrace. Lila's head lay against Joel's chest until she noticed the rate at which his heart was beating. “Your heart! It's beating way too fast. Are you feeling alright? We should call my dad. He warned you about cardiac arrest,” she said in a panic.
