Tori Zachman, age sixteen, has always been passionate about singing. She has recently been selected to perform at Rally Rumble, in Nashville, Tennessee. Rally Rumble is an event held by the Rally Foundation, located in Atlanta, Georgia. This was the third annual event. Thirty-one people performed, with many genres being represented. All proceeds will go towards ending childhood cancer. Zachman had said she was “excited to perform, but very nervous." This was her first performance on a big stage. She sang "Perfect" by P!nk, "Temporary Home" by Carrie Underwood, and an original song that she herself wrote. She performed fifth in the lineup.

She sang in memory of Mason Ream, who lived in Shelby. He died of neuroblastoma on March 18, 2006, at the age of 12. Neuroblastoma is a malignant tumor that develops from nerve tissue. It is a rare cancer that affects infants and young children. The cause is unknown.

She also sang in honor of Sadie Smith, a fourteen-month-old, who is also fighting neuroblastoma in the abdomen and around the spine. Despite receiving chemotherapy treatments every three weeks, she is a ball of energy. Some of her favorite activities include dancing and reading.

The event occured April 19, 2014. Tori has raised $1,216 for the cause. To find more details, supporters can go to the Rally Foundation Website at
