Helplessness

by Sara Bryan

She sits in her room crying

No one knows why

No one asks her

No one wants to know that she's in pain

She wishes she had someone to turn to

She loses her head screaming

No one can hear her scream

She puts her head on the pillow to cover the crying

She wishes she had someone to talk to

She looks up screaming, "Why?"

No one can feel her pain

Everyone ignores her

She wishes he was with her

So she would stop screaming

She wants him to stop the pain

She wants him to stop the crying

She wishes he would ask why

She wants someone to tell her story to

Someone to cry to

She wants him to hug her

She wants to tell him why

She wants to stop screaming

She doesn't know if she can stop the crying

The never ending pain

She hopes to relieve the pain

She needs something to turn to

Other than crying

No one cares about her

She looks at her reflection and screams

All she can say is why?

Why must she live like this why?

Why does she have to be in pain?

Why is she the one screaming?

She needs you to talk to
