HAPPY 60 TH ANNIVERSARY ROYAL MTC
Canada’s oldest English-language regional theatre
Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre celebrates its 60 th
anniversary season. Through years of song and dance,
laughter and tears Royal MTC has inspired audiences
and brought the arts to life in Winnipeg’s historic
Exchange District. Inside the main stage, a feature wall
art installation will rotate photography from previous
plays that represent the six decades. Royal MTC
intends to wow the crowd with the first shows of the
season Shakespeare in Love and Nine Dragons
(see listing pg 13).
RUMOR’S RESTAURANT & COMEDY CLUB Laugh
out loud as comedians from around the globe try out
their best material. Sep 5-9: The hilarious comedian,
writer and actor Andy Hendrickson brings his clever and
conversational style to stage. Sep 14-16: Well known for
staring in The Big Bang Theory and Netflix debut The Fartist,

Drew Michael delivers laughs with a dark, cerebral point of

KITCHEN KUMITE: CLASH OF THE PANS Sep 24 &
Oct 1 Watch some of Winnipeg’s best chefs compete in
an Iron Chef style tournament in support of Cancer Care
Manitoba. Chefs battle in teams of 8 during quarterfinals
(Sep 24), semi-finals and finals (Oct 1). The two-night
