Do as Edmontonians do
and spend some time at
these local hot spots

BRUNCH
An ever-changing breakfast, brunch,
and lunch menu inspired by traditional
Scandinavian and French fare greats
you at Café Linnea. The menu changes
regularly, as the dishes are made from local
products, and you can book High Tea for
$55 per person on Sundays. Unique to most
Edmonton restaurants, this spot is a “no
tipping establishment,” as they pay their
servers higher than the norm.
COCKTAILS
LIVE MUSIC
One of the newest hot spots in the city, the
Art Nouveau-inspired Clementine has a
beautiful dark wood bar, and a menu that
boasts unique cocktails like the Provence
made with gin, strawberry preserves, Bonal
Quinquina, Genepy, lemon, egg white, and
rosemary.
With two stages, live music every day, and
lots of space to sit, socialize, and spend
time with friends, The Needle is quickly
becoming a go-to after-work spot to blow
off some steam and enjoy some great music.

Order off the menu, or enlist the talented
mixologists at North 53 to create you a
custom cocktail simply by telling them your
choice of alcohol and the flavours you are
hoping to sip on.

The perfect spot to grab a cocktail before a
show at the Winspear Centre or a play at
the Citadel Theatre, Woodwork’s one-ofa-kind cocktail menu is carefully curated
based on the season.

OUTDOOR FUN
The acre-sized frozen Ice Castle is returning
to Hawrelak Park this year! This Narnia-like
display is made completely from icicles, and
is truly unlike anything you have ever seen
before. Construction will begin in November,
and the castle is expected to be open to the
public in December. Visit the website to
stay up to date on the opening day.

THE MARKET
The Old Strathcona Farmers’ Market is open
Saturdays year-round and is one of the best
spots to support local makers and growers.
Here you will find more than 130 vendors
selling produce, preserves, handmade
donuts, crafts, art, and more.

THE MOVIES
Head to the historic Garneau Theatre,
located just off the University of Alberta
campus, where the Metro Cinema is always
showing something new, avant-garde, retro,
or downright weird.
