1 . Where is your go-to spot for pregame drinks before an Oilers game ? Mercer Tavern ( pg 35 )! Share the BBQ Ribs and Mac N Cheese and enjoy the atmosphere !
2 . Where are the hot spots to shop for kids ? I love the local boutique Alligator Pie ( pg 39 ) for kids fashions and accessories . Owner Karen is always amazing at assisting you in outfitting the little ones in your life .
3 . What ’ s the best way to spend a chilly Saturday afternoon ? The warm Confederation Lounge ( pg 34 ) is a great place to cozy up on a Saturday afternoon next to the roaring fireplace . Sit back and enjoy the wonderful views of the snowcapped river valley from the panoramic windows and indulge in some amazing food .
4 . Where can you find great cocktails and appetizers south of the river ? Ampersand 27 ( pg 52 is one of my favourite places to gather with friends and share a fabulous charcuterie board . I love to indulge in their craft cocktails like the Bluebom or the Havana Nights .
5 . What ’ s your favourite thing about the holidays in Edmonton ? There are so many wonderful things about the holidays in Edmonton that it ’ s hard to pick just one ! I love taking my family to A Christmas Carol at the Citadel ( pg 12 ) and skating in Churchill Square surrounded by all the Christmas lights !
