Just outside the Terwillegar Community Recreation Centre , this intensely coloured , cartoon-like giant pair of sprinting legs has the sheen of a high-end sports car . Created by a creative collective from Germany called Inges Idee , Running Track is a hybrid of runner and racetrack . The graphic aesthetic of sports — the lines of a racetrack , a sports shoe , and the designs on athletic wear — are combined with the power of a dynamic and curving form — evoking the human body in motion . The sculpture is located in front of the recreation centre at 2051 Leger Rd . w
