Munro’s Calgary-based company employs 21 local seamstresses to design and sew scarves, skirts, dresses, sweaters, t-shirts, tank tops, lounge pants, leggings, and vests. “Ethical manufacturing is feel- good,” Munro says. “We never considered having things outsourced because it is just so simple not to outsource.” This is clothing you can feel good about (the fabric supplier in Vancouver ensures that fabric dyes do not go back into environment) and feel good in: Buttercream Clothing is made from a super soft bamboo, organic cotton, and jersey blend.
