ON CERTAMEN:
The Wheeler Advanced Certamen
captain, Sam Maloney, provides us
with an update

     The Wheeler Advanced
Certamen Team has been
doing quite well. Practices
have occurred on Thursday
mornings in the media
center, and on every other
Friday afternoon in the Latin
room. We currently have one
advanced certamen team
and one alternate.
     However, since the
Walton Kickoff Certamen
Tournament was canceled
due to lack of interest, we
can only start competing in
tournaments

in Fall Forum. Regrettably, it
appears that due to a date
conflict on Fall Forum, many
members of the Advanced
Certamen Team cannot go
to Fall Forum. The Wheeler
Advanced Team therefore
has room for more people. In
short, efforts to reconstruct
and train the team are
generally turning out to be
successful.
