The Center for Advanced Studies in Science, Math, and Technology( Wheeler High School’ s Magnet program)
This is a specialized four-year program for high-achieving students deeply committed to Science, Math, and Technology. This program offers a unique, accelerated curriculum with advanced courses including Organic Chemistry, DNA / Genetics, and Aerospace Engineering. This program also features partnerships with Georgia Tech and Chattahoochee Tech Math and Computer Science courses. This program offers a culture of intellectual curiosity that produces highly competitive candidates for elite universities, internships, and scholarships.

Wheeler High School’ s Advancement Via Individual Determination( AVID)
This specialized program is a four-year initiative designed to turn college aspirations of those who hope to be the first in their family to attend college or is a student from an underrepresented group in higher education a reality! This program targets students in the“ academic middle”( B and C range) who have the drive to succeed but need a support system to reach their full potential. Through the AVID Elective, students receive dedicated coaching on study skills, organization, and critical thinking, alongside access to college tutors. AVID provides a structured environment that encourages students to take Honors and AP courses while providing the guidance needed to navigate college applications and financial aid.
