Welcome to the October edition of Wheel World News! October is super busy for the AZSCIA! We are so excited for all our upcoming events this month, especially our 6th Annual Push Forward Conference that is taking place this month. The AZSCIA is thrilled to be hosting multiple in-person events this month as well. You won't want to miss out on all the fun things we have planned! The entire AZSCIA staff can't wait to connect with our community again and continue to help improve our community's quality of life through our programs.

Featured in our 'Spotlight Story' is our 6th Annual Push Forward Conference which will be taking place on Friday, October 15th, 2021. Our Push Forward Conference is an all-day interactive conference for individuals with spinal cord injuries, family members, caregivers, and professionals. Visit pages 3-4 to read more about our conference and to sign up today! Also, be sure to check out the 'Current Events' section on pages 5-6 for more information on upcoming events within the community for this month. We are hosting our first in-person Bingo Night in almost two years! Also, we are hosting a Tour of Italy Pasta Night with We're Moving Forward! and Cafe Cultivate. You won't want to miss out on these fun social recreational events. Lastly, we are doing our Advanced Wheelchair Skills classes throughout the month of October. These classes are free and in-person! You can find more information on all these events on pages 5-6. There is also lots of helpful information/articles packed within this newsletter, we hope you enjoy it.

If you ever have anything suggestions for our newsletter, have medical equipment to donate/sell, or have anything you'd like us to add, please reach out to our newsletter editor, Allison Harris at [email protected].

We look forward to seeing you out in the community this month! I hope you all continue to stay safe and healthy.
