Support Group

Join the Flagstaff Spinal Cord and Brain Injury Support Group each on the 1st Tuesday every month from 2-3:30pm! This support group is primarily a Spinal Cord Injury group, but includes MS and Traumatic Brain Injury clients as well since many of the adaptation, medical equipment needs and socialization issues are pertinent to all.

The group is currently meeting differently due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. For information on the next meeting, please contact Al White at (928) 699-2916 OR at [email protected]

**All those afflicted by spinal cord injury or a condition affecting the spinal cord or brain (ex. MS) and/or family members, caregivers, and professionals are welcome.**

"WeCovery" Support Group

The Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association is committed to building a healthy community for individuals with SCI and their families. With that in mind, we understand that chronic pain may be a way of life for many people who suffer from past injuries. The response of the medical community traditionally has been to prescribe opioid medications to help deal with this pain. However, opioids are very addicting and can affect one’s quality of life after prolonged use. With this understanding, we invite you to come to our first support group meeting for individuals who have struggled with addiction, are currently in treatment/recovery or have overcome their addiction and want to help others.

“WeCovery” is a support group for individuals to share their thoughts and support each other without judgement or criticism. Meetings take place on the 3rd Monday of every month. The meetings will be held virtually through Zoom. Click here for meeting link.
