Message from the Executive Director,
Welcome to the June edition of Wheel World News! It's summertime which means there are many upcoming activities and events going on within the community. Be sure to get involved!
This month, our Spotlight Story is all about how big of an impact your donations have within the SCI community. Visit pages 3-4 to read about how the AZSCIA donated an accessible van to the Sanchez Family. The Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association loves being able to change families lives through in-kind donations. Your donations truly matter!
If you are wanting to become more involved this month in the SCI community, there are plenty of events happening this month that could help you with that. Read about all the upcoming events happening this June, including our Summer Bingo Night and the Independent Living Skills Classes at Ability360 in the Current Events section on pages 5-6. For this month’s “Consumer Corner” segment, we are highlighting Leonard Smith. Read his personal and inspiring story on pages 7-9.
