Welcome to the April edition of Wheel World News! Now that it is spring, there are many upcoming outdoor activities and events going on within the community. Be sure to get involved! Also, this April marks the AZSCIA's 20th Anniversary of being nonprofit organization. That's a major accomplishment!
This month, our Spotlight Story is focused on our Advanced Wheelchair Skills Classes happening all through the month of April. Visit pages 3-4 to see what topics will be covered and to sign up. All classes are FREE! If you are wanting to become more involved this month in the SCI community, there are plenty of events happening this month that could help you with that. Read about all the upcoming events happening this April, including the AZSCIA's Spring Bingo Night and the Exploring Arizona Adaptive Hiking Series in the Current Events section on pages 5-6. For this month’s “Consumer Corner” segment, we are highlighting Gabe Gerbic. Read his personal and inspiring story on pages 7-12.
