Each month, we want to highlight a consumer of AZSCIA, hear their story and read about all the remarkable things they are doing within the community.
This month, we are highlighting Sarah Hochstetler. She is going to tell us about her injury story, challenges she faces living with SCI, and advice she has for individuals who are newly injured. Take a few minutes to read Sarah's inspiring story.

It was February 24th 2018, a day that was going on like any normal day when suddenly I tripped on something and became airborne. Right afterwards I felt a sharp shocking spinal cord pain in my T4 not a pain anyone would want to have. It was as if someone switched a light was when both my legs quit working. I just simply was not going anywhere because I couldn't move. As I felt that there was instant loss of feeling from chest down. I thought, “oh no don't tell me that I just sustained a spinal cord injury,” but unfortunately, that was the case.
