Wheeling in Nature: October 2018
Overview
We would like to thank everyone who joined us for our 5th annual Wheeling in Nature event. If you could not attend this year, we hope to you'll join us next year!
Another successful Wheeling in Nature is in the books! On Saturday October 20th, 2018, The Arizona Spinal Cord Injury Association along with our consumers, friends, and family traveled up north to Cottonwood, AZ and enjoyed a fun-filled day outdoors at the Dead Horse Ranch State Park for our 5th annual Wheeling in Nature event. We had a great turn-out this year with over 35 people in attendance. There was a barbecue serving delicious hamburgers and hot dogs, adaptive kayaking, fishing, and time for our attendees to meet new people and create friendships. We want to give a big shout out to Nic Danger and Scott Hassle with The Next Step: Peer Mentoring & More for providing adaptive kayaking for three years in a row now! It's really amazing to see what a difference just going out in a kayak for a little while can make in a persons life. Also, thank you to J & K Outdoor Adventures for providing lunch and snacks for everyone to enjoy. We wouldn't be able to put on this event each year without the help and support from our community partners. We hope everyone who attended had a fun, relaxing day outdoors.
