Changes coming to Valley Metro Dial-a-Ride: Effective July 1st, 2017
Valley Metro cares about its riders and getting them to their destinations safely and efficiently. Beginning July 1st, we have some important changes that we believe will better serve riders using East Valley Dial-a-Ride, Northwest Valley Dial-a-Ride and Regional Paratransit Service. Beginning July 1st, riders can expect the following:
New name. Dial-a-Ride in the East Valley, Northwest Valley and Regional will be changed to Valley Metro Paratransit
New service provider. Transdev, a company dedicated to providing safe and comfortable paratransit and transportation services across the U.S., will operate all East Valley, Northwest Valley and Regional Paratransit services
New vehicles. The new service provider, Transdev, will introduce a new fleet of fully accessible vans and minivans marked as Valley Metro Paratransit.
Improved access. New technology will give riders the ability to better manage access to reservation information by phone or online
New taxi provider. During late nights, early mornings or at times when demand is higher for Paratransit service, AAA Transportation Services will respond to serve riders. AAA drivers will be trained to offer safe and courteous service.
Also beginning July 1st, qualified residents in the city of Surprise will be able to use three new programs: Valley Metro RideChoice, Valley Metro Paratransit and the Surprise Senior Center Shuttle. Click image below for more information.
