Message from the Executive Director,
Welcome to the April edition of Wheel World News. As this is one of the busiest times of the year for events, this newsletter is packed with fun events to aid you in getting out and enjoying this beautiful Arizona weather while it lasts.
Our 2017 Push Forward Conference was a success! We want to thank everyone who came out and enjoyed the day with us. To read more about the conference please see page 2. There are many events happening this month within the disability community, providing you with educational and adventurous opportunities. Be sure you read through our current events on pages 4-6. We hope you enjoy our new segment: brettapproved® Travel Tip of the Month, where you can get tips on how to travel accessibly the right way. Check out this tip on page 7, and keep in mind that Brett is always looking for travel tips from the community, so feel free to reach out to him if you have any helpful tips to share. This month in Consumer Corner, we highlight Kyle Nilles, who was injured in 2012 as a passenger in car accident. You can read his story on pages 10-11. As always, we hope that you enjoy reading about the information that is packed into this newsletter.
We encourage each and every member in our community to take part in these events for April. Getting out there and meeting people within the SCI community is a great way to build up a support group and make friends for life. Don't be shy, stop by and say hello, or give us a call if you need anything!
