Message from the Executive Director,

Welcome to the March edition of Wheel World News. Spring is in the air, which means there are a lot of outdoor events coming up!

It's that time of year! March 10th is the Push Forward Conference. We look forward to seeing everyone there. See pages 2-3 for the entire class schedule, so you can map out your day and make sure you get to everything you want to learn about. Spring training season is here! Join AZSCIA March 17th to enjoy a day of sunshine and baseball. We have tickets for sale, buy yours through AZSCIA to support us. Gear up for adaptive fishing at Cortez Park on March 23rd. Read more about these events and others on pages 4-6. We hope you enjoy our new segment: brettapprovedĀ® Travel Tip of the Month, where you can get tips on how to travel accessibly the right way. Check out this tip on page 7, and feel free to email Brett with any tips you have to be featured in our next month's newsletter. On pages 10-11, discover all of the wonderful amenities of HonorHealth Rehabilitation Hospital's SCI Program in Scottsdale; they are a valuable resource for newly injured patients. This month in Consumer Corner, we highlighted Madison Powers, who was injured in 2003 and since has had two beautiful children and made the most of her life after injury. You can read her story on pages 12-15. This newsletter is packed full of great information, we hope you enjoy reading it.

We hope that everyone can find an event they enjoy attending this month. Get out there and make the most of this beautiful weather. We are always here in the office, stop in and say hello!

Sincerely,

Shannon L. Carter

Executive Director
