Mannum
All things old are new again
When a town is based on
a river, its fortunes go up
and down with the river.
Mannum was home to a
large ship building industry
until the 20th Century,
when paddle steamer
construction went into
a serious decline.
Today the PS Marion,
built in 1897, is one of the
last steam driven wood
fired paddle steamers in
the world, and is a major
attraction in Mannum.
