The Barossa Valley
May be small but thinks BIG!
The Barossa Valley is
famous for its wine and food.
But did you know that the
Barossa Valley is only 13km
x 14km, and has three main
towns on the valley floor.
Tanunda was settled by
Germans in the 1840’s,
Angaston was settled by
Cornish tin miners and
Nuriootpa was settled by
both so it is the main town!
This area produces
magnificent food and wine.
It is so important to South
Australia that the
government passed special
legislation to preserve its
character and stop it
becoming a residential
suburb of Adelaide.
Every two years there is a
fantastic festival, the Barossa
Vintage Festival, in April.

Angie Hilton and Ally
Pinnock made the first allgirls show in the Barossa
Valley, and had a fabulous
time.
They sampled some local
wines at the Murray Street
Vineyards. But what would
a girl’s trip be without
pampering.
