Insider Stories: Family Feud with Flo Taylor

It’s time for the Family Feud! Flo Taylor a San Francisco Dispatcher and her family had the opportunity to play on the show recently and she offered to share her experience, which is as follows:

After learning the Family Feud Game Show was coming to San Francisco for auditions, we submitted a creative introduction of our family along with photos. Soon after, we received a reply inviting us to a live audition to participate and play in a mock show. This audition was attended by thousands of Bay Area families over a 3-day period.

After a few months, we received a postcard in the mail advising that we were being considered for the show. Several weeks later a phone call was received giving us dates to attend a final audition in Atlanta, Georgia where the show is taped in front of a live studio audience.

This experience was one of our families most memorable times together. We are very competitive when it comes to Taylor Game Night so this was no exception. During our visit we had the opportunity to meet several very nice families from across the country that had gone through the same or similar auditions in their town. It was a pleasure meeting them and getting to know them.

The experience was streamlined and fast paced. Everything was organized and detailed oriented from the time we arrived on set until our ride back to our hotel at the end of the day. After several months of anticipation and watching numerous episodes of Family Feud, we finally saw ourselves on our television set. If you’re curious, watch the episode that aired on January 30, 2016!

I must say it is easier to shout answers from your living room sofa than to actually play the game live. There were many fun filled and hilarious moments, some were edited, but overall you will get the just of it. Did we win? Plainly stated: we did not. But in reality our family felt like winners.
