Grammys also has other affiliate organizations i.e. Grammy U
for students and The Music Cares Foundation, which offers
assistance to financially hardship recording artists.

To become a member of the Grammys you must meet certain
membership requirements/criteria and pay a yearly membership
fee. Real talk YOU MUST BE ABLE TO PROVE THAT YOU
ARE ACTIVELY WORKING IN THE RECORDING INDUSTRY ,even if you are a spoken word artist, comedian, or artist
manager. Being a member will allow you to have access to purchase tickets and attend the main event in Los Angeles every
year.
With all the hoopla Grammy Buzz from last week “WHATS REALLY GOING ON” Magazine wants to take its readers into the
behind the scenes look from around the country.
The Grammy’s has 12 chapters and every year each chapter
produces its own Grammy Viewing Party. Take a look at our

Did you ever wonder about what it takes to win or be nominated
for a Grammy? Let’s go even deeper we all know membership
has its privileges so how would one become a member of The
Grammys BKA “THE RECORDING ACADEMY”.
While one may think that the Grammys are all about music, if we
all really look behind the music one may discover Sound/Audio
Recordings are the roots of The Grammys. Now let’s break down
what this truly means . The proper name and title of the organization that promotes the highest honor one may receive for
sound recording synonymous with an Oscar is ‘THE NATIONAL
ACADEMY OF RECORDING ARTS AND SCIENCES (NARAS)
Every year from June to August, record labels, musicians, songwriters, recording artists, and members rush to submit their
sound recordings to the Grammy Board to be considered for a
nomination. Grammy board experts in various fields of Sound
Recording and Visuals cast their votes in a series of “rounds” for
nominations and of course the recording/visuals that receives the
most votes in specific categories receives the Grammy Accolade.
Fact: President Barack Obama is a two time Grammy winner for
the Spoken Word Category for his audio books. There is a category for Best Comedy Album which is perfect for all you comedians to get in the studio and record a comedy album Congratulations to both the 2014 recipients for Spoken Word (America
