What's On Kuranda Kadanji Cottage Events Presents SNEZ Sunday 6 August Last show for the year! A perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. The music of SNEZ embodies the art of song writing in its most personal and universal forms. This enchanting songstress has a forte for describing the experiences of everyday life in a way that resonates with people everywhere, articulating moments of deep pain and pure joy. Coming from a Macedonian working-class family, where stories about hardship, romance, black magic, mysticism and work ethic have been passed down through generations, Snez subtly weaves these influences into her own stories and songs, and in the process produces tantalizingly personal and intimate performances. Seats are limited, so bookings are essential. Bookings can be made through Kadanji Cottage Events on Facebook. Starts: 3.00 pm. Cost: $25 includes afternoon tea. BYO drinks. Wine glasses supplied. Katchafire Aussie Legacy Tour - Kuranda Show Celebrating 20 Years of Fiyah! Things will start heating up in Spring when Aotearoa’s favourite roots reggae band KATCHAFIRE return to Australia celebrating 20 YEARS OF THE FIRE on the LEGACY tour. And The Billabong in Kuranda are extremely happy to be part of the tour! THE LEGACY TOUR is currently underway and has seen them complete a 6 week tour of the USA earlier this year and sold out shows across New Zealand in May/June. The fire boys are heading back to the US in June & July before heading to Australia to bless us with some sweet roots reggae music once again. With four highly successful studio albums, multiple awards, platinum sales, high selling singles, and a massive worldwide fanbase, KATCHAFIRE has crafted a universal vibe with their sound being built on the foundations of classic roots reggae, RnB, funk, modern dancehall and slinky reggae pop. 2017 will see them celebrating 20 years of existence and this year a new album will be released.
