The Lock-In ‘Remixed’ Saturday 2 September, 7.30pm, Cheltenham Town Hall With live music by BBC Radio 2 award-winning powerhouse The Demon Barbers, some of the UK’s oldest forms of dance are brought up to date with some of the youngest, in this family friendly, celebration of dance culture. A group of hip hop dancers arrive at an apparently deserted pub, but local rumour has it that this tumble-down inn is frequented by other worldly characters and, as the regulars arrive, a clash of cultures soon turns into a dance floor stand-off. Enjoy every facet of his history in this new live show. Including classics such as Alone Again Naturally, Nothing Rhymed, Clair Matrimony and Get Down as well as songs from the latest album Latin Ala G! including No Way and I Guess I’ll Always Love You . In 1967 Syd Lawrence formed what was to become the UK’s most successful and longest running Big Band, performing in theatres all over Europe and regularly featuring on many TV shows. For the last 20 years the Orchestra has been lead by virtuoso trombonist Chris Dean and has continued to fill theatres around the country. The 60s saw them clock up hit after pop hit with songs such as Bend Me, Shape Me; Hello Suzy, and (If Paradise is) Half As Nice .
