Summer Children’s Activities ACTive Drama and Dance Monday 29th July - Tuesday 30th July 10am - 3pm - 5-11years Come to NAC this summer to take part in an exciting two day workshop where children will get the chance to explore a range of techniques in drama and dance and have lots of creative fun! This activity is led by actress, writer, director and producer Tonia Daley-Campbell. Admission: £20 for two days (bursaries also available) ACTive Film in a day! Wednesday 31st July 10am - 3pm - 12-16 years A chance to explore filmmaking and acting for camera in an exciting 1 day workshop where young people get the chance to make their very own film! This day long workshop is led by actress, writer, director and producer Tonia Daley-Campbell. Admission: £10 Music Making with Beatsabar Thursday 1st August 10-12pm - 7-12 years / 1-3pm - 12-16 years Around the World Arts Week 5th - 9th August Mix and match exciting workshops in our brand new children’s arts week, designed especially to keep your young ones entertained. We have everything covered from arts and crafts, drama and dance, to Bhangra and dinosaurs and you will find something suitable for children of all ages. Animal clay medallions Animals of the World in Print & Pattern 4-8rs Come and explore the animals of Experiment with various mark 4-8 yrs Mon 5th Aug 10-12pm Mon 5th Aug 1-3pm the world and their habitats and use making techniques to create a potters clay to create double sided variety of patterns & designs animal medallions.* £3 with Kanjana Nicholas £3 with Pam Fletcher Around the world drop-in activity ( 3+ ) Wed 7th Aug 10-12pm or 1-3pm Come and explore traditions from around the world in this fun drop-in activity. Make Matryoshka dolls, paper fans, explore Rangoli art, and much more! Sessions are drop-in, so come and do as many as you would like. (The same activities will run for the morning and afternoon sessions) Tickets are FREE and bookable through NAC. Making musical instruments 4-8yrs Thur 8th Aug - 1-3pm Thur 8th Aug 10am-12pm Use mixed media to create large experienced tutors. Explore a variety of musical colourful illuminated Chinese Admission: £3 per child instruments from around the world lanterns suitable for hanging. and make a rainstick from Brazil £4 with Lindsay Pritchard Into K-Pop, reggae, drill, or afrobeats? Explore music from around the world in this professional music studio workshop, where you will get the chance to write, perform and record an original song with other young musicians and Bhangra Tots Under 5’s and a spin drum from Africa. Take part in a fun adventure with story, music and dance. Sohan Kailey Embossing Print Planet 7-11yrs Friday 2nd of August 10am-11am - 5 and under is an inspirational and experienced dancer and performer who will delight in taking you on a Bhangra journey! This session is for 5 and under, but grown ups can join in too! Admission: £3 per child per class Bhangra Kids 6+ Friday 2nd of August 1-3pm - 5-11years Learn cool Bhangra dance steps to modern funky music. Let loose and get active in this fun activity run by experienced dancer Sohan Kailey.
