A Message from the Desk

of the SDC-LWIS Network BOT

In this third issue of the SDC-LW newsletter, we would like to highlight the Learner’s World International Schools (LWIS) Network main events, activities and achievements of the second and third trimesters of 2015-2016.

As the school year approaches its end, we would like to extend our deep appreciation and gratitude to the LWIS Network community for making this year a happy and successful year for all.

The LWIS Network aspires to create a community where all its members feel valued by acknowledging that they are making a difference and contributing to an important endeavor as well as feel empowered by giving them a sense of purpose, helping them feel they belong, and enabling them to make a difference.

We are pleased to announce that the International School of Africa (ISA) in the Republic of Djibouti, the newest member of the LWIS Network, held its first open house where 150 people attended the event. The school will open its doors to its learning community in September 2016.

With the summer season around the corner, Philadelphia Private School (PPS) in Dubai, Al-Afkar International School (AiS) in Jeddah and Khaled International Schools (KiS) in Riyadh are wrapping up this academic year, unfaltering in the face of the heat and humidity that summer brings.

Our schools in Lebanon, LWIS-Adma International School (LWIS-AiS), LWIS-Valley International School (LWIS-ViS), LWIS-City International School (LWIS-CiS) & LWIS-Universal School of Lebanon (LWIS-USL) are getting ready for graduation day. We would like to wish the Class of 2016, in each of our schools, continued HAPPINESS and SUCCESS. In addition, we would like to wish the students following the Lebanese National Curriculum the best of luck on their official exams.
