The Universal Service Fund makes life easier. A few examples how it makes life
easier are, getting research by just typing something on your device, by improving
business services, giving businesses E opportunities and by providing another way
of income example having an internet café right at the business base. They also
found a way to make electronic devices without impairment for the disabled. For
the persons who cannot afford or do not have internet access, will be able to access
internet through community centers such as libraries. Phone booths have also been
established throughout the rural areas as well.

To accomplish this, USF has expanded their initiatives with The National ICT
Office (NICTO), by partnering with them. USF has partnered with NICTO to
accomplish the goal of providing Wi-Fi zones across the island. The National ICT
Office is responsible for carrying out all government information and
communication initiatives. The aim is to make all secondary schools on the island,
have internet connectivity, and make Saint Lucia one of the connected countries
within the OECS.
