Next Week in UMD

All is well in the Food Court. Our schedules are full and we almost have everyone trained. The special in the 406 Grill this week is the chili burger. Come on in and give it a try. Don’t forget dollar Fridays…Lots of offerings from our kiosks for only $1.00 every Friday.

It was a wild first week! Everyone here stepped up and went the extra mile making sure everything for our students went smooth from normal meal service to the pre-games meals for the football team. We would like to thank all that helped us. We really appreciate the teamwork! We had our first omelet bar of the year and it was a huge success! Next week we will be focused on the 10th Anniversary celebration on September 12th and are looking forward to seeing everyone in the oval!

The Corner Store enjoyed a good second week. We have a lot of really outstanding new students! We had Mo’s Italian Meat Ball Grinder on special this week and we got rave reviews from our guests. (I even got a hug from a guest that said it was as close to coming out of his mom’s kitchen as it can get.) Thanks to Mo for the recipe and the mentoring for preparing correctly. Even when the day is crazy, share a smile and a kind word. It’s makes it all better.

Think Tank just can’t keep enough product on the shelves. We are flying through coffee, bakery and Griz n Go items! It’s been a busy couple of weeks. Stop by next week for our Coke promotion of a Sandwich and Vitamin Water for $4.25.

We are mass producing pizza dough’s; 100 sheets a day to get ready for the food zoo to use as a scratch item. We will be making 65 huckleberry cheesecakes, 32 pans of flathead cherry crisp and 75 loaves of homemade bread for the FTC 10th anniversary. We will also be making desserts for Sandra Day O’Conner and various other catering events.

UMC is still manning the food truck at Missoula College west until interviews for the Food Truck Supervisor are completed. We will have the food truck out behind the Lommasson Sunday-Thursday 9p-Midnight.

Catering has a lot going on with the 10th Anniversary for Farm to College. We are excited for the Culinary Challenge taking place in the UC in the Commons. And Ryan has been working hard to make sure the logistics for the dinner on the oval will be nothing short of spectacular!
