Things are going great in the Food Court. We are still in training mode with most of our unit, but everyone is working hard to get it done. Come in and try our chili burger in the 406 Grill. It comes with fries and a fountain drink for only $5.99…yum! Quote of the week: Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. Berthold Auerbach
The Food Zoo is celebrating the last of the Welcome Back Feasts! Thank you to everyone who had a part in last night event! Next week we will be having our Field of greens Bar at lunch on Wednesday, September 18th. We are still hiring students for shifts so if you know of any students looking to work, especially on Wednesday, please send them our way.
How time flies! Can’t believe we are already into week three. We have some really outstanding students working with us this semester. We will continue to come up with new specials and items for the lines to try to increase sales. “Plan a head, it wasn’t raining when Noah built the Ark.”
We are gearing up for the second home game. Go Griz! The bakery is catching up on cookie and muffin production. We never seem to make enough banana bread. Plus we've got lots of specialty items still to make for catering.
On Friday the 20th, the Lady Griz Soccer team will face-off against Nevada at 4:00pm. If you don’t want to be outside and see the soccer ladies, come to the Adams Center and watch the Lady Griz Volleyball team serve against N. Colorado at 7pm in their season opener game. On Saturday the 21st, the Grizzly football team will kick-off against Oklahoma Panhandle State at 1pm. If you want to be a double Griz supporter, follow the football game the Lady Griz Volleyball team will serve against North Dakota at 7pm in the Adams Center. Free admission if you have your football game ticket stub.
In addition to these events the UM Grizzly food truck will be serving at the Missoula College West campus daily and UM main campus during the late nights.
Come get your truck food on!
Things are busy as ever at Think Tank. Next week stop by for a Sandwich and Vitamin Water on Special for $4.25 or try out a Tripleberry Latte featuring Huckleberry, Strawberry and Blueberry syrup. A few student shifts opened up, so if anyone has students looking for extra hours, let us know. It has been a great week for Biz Buzz and Recess too! In Biz Buzz we have changed our daily special sign and added a new condiment and microwave counter! We have received a lot of positive feedback from our customers about how nice it looks. This week in the Phyllis Washington Building Recess had the honor of staying open a half hour longer to serve all the extra guest who were there to see the governor.
We have a busy week coming up. The TedX talks on Thursday are an exciting event I know we are all looking forward to. If you get a chance to catch it they are streaming it all over campus. Well wishes to Mark and his presentation!! Round Ball scholarship dinner is on Thursday as well. Don’t forget the first President Lecture Series talk is that night too, featuring Simon O’Dwyer and Maria Cullen O’Dwyer, Irish Musicians and Authors of "Prehistoric Music of Ireland "3,000 Years of Ancient Ireland’s Music and Instruments” in the Dennison Theater. Sound cool. Friday is the Forestry and Conservation Centennial. And we finish out the week with a football game against Oklahoma Panhandle State. Go Griz! P.S. Monte turns 20 this week!! We want to wish him a Happy Birthday!!
