It's only a four day work week for all of us but we are going to make the best of it. The special at the 406 Grill is the Big Kahuna teriyaki burger. On Thursday, between 11am and 1pm, we are having our second annual caramel apple bar, with FTC apples and all the classic toppings. Come over and try one. Quote of the week: On this Veterans Day, let us remember the service of our veterans, and let us renew our national promise to fulfill our sacred obligations to our veterans and their families who have sacrificed so much so that we can live free. Hello from the Food Zoo! This week we had a successful Curry Bar and Family Favorites—stay tuned next week for the winners! Next week we will be doing special dishes for AppleFest and maybe—just maybe, we will have some fun games for the students to get crazy with!
We held our caramel apple dipping event last Friday. It was a huge success. We sold over 80 apples. I heard a lot of “wow, this is cool”!! Thanks Ray for letting me share your idea. We are running a mac and cheese special this week and next. It is by far our most popular special yet. Tomato soup is now on our menu every day. With some new signage, tomato soup and cooler weather, our grilled cheese sales have doubled. Thanks to the Hinshaw brothers for bringing some really good ideas our way. That’s just one reason they are both student leaders!
The bakery is working on dessert menus for all the upcoming holiday parties. We also have a football game on Saturday to prepare for. Stop by the Food Zoo for brownies, crisps, cookies and more.
Next week is Apple Fest!! Stop by Think Tank for a FTC Apple Lattice Pie from the bakery or try our cider special, Apple Pie in liquid form! Both items are on special all week long! Enjoy the long weekend!
Starting Friday at Biz Buzz we will be testing out some new products. Umpqua Oats and Odwalla Juice! Come by and try one!
We have new menu items on the food truck next week! We are rolling out Stir-fried noodles, teriyaki chicken, coconut-curry chicken skewers w/spicy peanut sauce, and the new Kung POW Bomb. Concessions has Bill Cosby Friday night & Saturday we have our last regular home Football game against Weber St. (Noon Kick-off)
Tuesday we have a Veteran’s Thank You lunch in the UC. Wednesday starts the Griz/Cat Blood drive Battle in the UC Ballroom. Don’t forget to donate to a great cause. Help save a life or two. Bill Cosby is here on Thursday to tickle your funny bone. Friday is the President’s Advisory Council meeting. And Saturday is our last Griz Home Game!! Let’s hope for a win, and some losses for the other top teams!!
