Next Week in UMD

Welcome back, students for the Winter session. Food Court hours are 11am – 2pm Monday through Friday. Jus Chillin is open 8am-5pm and Pizza Hut is open 9am-6pm Monday through Friday.

Next week at the Food Zoo we are starting off the new year with recipe tests for pot roast and a new au gratin potato, served with green beans. Residence Life will bring about 55 people, and we will invite our UMD family to hit our target audience of 100 people. We will have the test at noon on Thursday the 9th in the Corner Store.

We are busy planning and getting ready to welcome our students back. The break is flying by rapidly. I enjoy the break but miss not having the students here. Just too quiet!

The bakery is still trying to bulk prep as much as possible before spring semester starts. This includes breakfast breads, muffin batter, cookie pucks, croissants and much more. We also are baking daily orders for the Food Court and other open operations.

Happy 2014!! Things have picked up a little for Think Tank now that winter session has started. It's nice to see some of the students back on campus. Starting January 2nd, Think Tank will be open from 7:30-2:00 rather than 8:00-2:00.

Here's what's cooking!

Concessions has two Lady Griz BB games this week. Thursday vs E. Washington at 7p. Saturday vs Portland State at 2pm. The Galloping Griz is hibernating for a few more weeks before the semester starts. UM Dining is also going to operate the food and beverage at the golf course starting in April so we are working hard to make that happen!

This week begins to pick back up for Catering as we ring in the New Year! Kicking off the new year we will be catering two basketball games and Active Resistance Training out at Missoula College, which many of you will be attending. In the meantime Catering will be preparing for a very busy upcoming semester.
