One week down and sixteen to go… Thanks to our hard working staff, everything went great for the Food Court for opening week. The Food Zoo is back up and running and the guest response has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic about the new remodel. Next week the Lovely Lunch Ladies will be rockin to “50’s tunes, and slinging their fabulous omelets Wednesday at lunch time. Come on in and enjoy the fun.
Wow, first week is over. It has been very rewarding to be short handed…and never let our guests know. Thanks to my staff and students for going the extra mile to provide excellent guest service. Looking forward to a great semester.
The bakery is happy to slow down on catering events a bit so we can restock our bulk prep. We still have various catering events to bake for including a presidential lecture series on Monday ,the Nature Conservancy, and the Montana State Thespian Ball for which we will be making 500 brownies. Stop by the Food Zoo this week for homemade biscuits every morning.
Things at Think Tank are nice and busy with the start of spring semester. Everything is running smooth with the awesome staff there that make it happen. So a definite big thanks to the staff for all their hard work and in helping me with getting my feet underneath me.
Well the first week of school went pretty smooth for Biz Buzz and Recess as well. We welcomed a lot of new student to the team this Semester! The next couple of weeks we will be focusing on getting everyone trained and on the same page.
On Feb 2nd the Adams Center hosts the 7th annual Garden City cheer team competition, GLAM JAM. On Feb 3rd the Lady Griz/Cat basketball game is at 7pm in the AC’s Dahlberg Arena. MAROON OUT!!! Feb 6th, the Men’s Griz Basktball tips off against Portland State at 7pm in the AC’s Dahlberg Arena. Feb 8th a Taekwondo tournament will be held in the AC’s West Auxillary Gym beginning at 10am all day until the Men’s Griz Basketball tips off against Eastern Washington at 7pm in the AC’s Dahlberg Arena. Don't forget, staff get in free to home basketball games with the swipe of their Griz Card!
Next week is a crazy, but fun one for Catering, as there will be many large events occurring, such as Basketball Cash Sales, Ladies Basketball Pre-Game Meals, Men’s Basketball Pre-Game Meals, the first President’s Lecture Series of this semester, the Math Counts Competition, Prose & Poems, the UC Art Gallery Opening, Nature Conservancy, and the Student Organizational Dinner. Our team is looking forward to this very welcomed busy week!
