Spring has sprung and all is well in the UC Food Court. We are working on some yummy specials for Earth week so stay tuned for those. We have the Mansfield Conference April 15th-17th so that should keep us busy this week. Quote of the week: My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was sixty. Next week at the Food Zoo we are doing our interactive Stir-Fry Bar from 11:00-1:30 on Wednesday, April 16th. Please come and join us, we have many special events lined up to finish out the semester with great food and a lot of fun.
Busy getting ready for the Earth Week celebration. Happy to announce that one of our student team members will be graduating this year with high honors and has been nominated by her department for the honor of outstanding senior of the year. I personally want to thank Ms. Rachael Adams for 3 outstanding years of service as a barista in LePeak. She will be greatly missed.
Employee Recognition Day is on Friday which means the Bakery will be busy making 1400 assorted petite desserts. We also have many other catered events to make desserts for such as the IWWF Reception. Stop by the Food Zoo this week for chocolate mousse cups on Tuesday.
Next week Biz Buzz will be saying goodbye to our Student Supervisor Velita. She has done a fabulous job over the years and will be missed. We are excited to welcome Katie as our new Student Supervisor!! Biz Buzz and Recess will also be offering a “Spring Berry Latte” Special in honor of Easter. Over at Think Tank, we are offering two specials: Iced Banana White Chocolate Mocha and a Turtle Mocha. Quote of the week: If you don't know what you want, you'll probably never get it. Next week we have the Pow Wow Friday and Saturday. We also will be opening for a Griz Hurling event in the stadium Saturday at noon. Food Truck at Missoula College West will be open M-F 8-1p. Golf course remodel has been pushed back to October and we’ll be opening ASAP in its current configuration, which is probably the week of April 22.
Catering is really busy next week. We have a couple of different conferences here in the UC. There are lots of Employee Recognition events too. Don’t forget the Faculty/Staff/Retiree social in the Honors College on Friday. We also have a memorial in the Music Building on Saturday. Happy Easter to all!
