Most of the movers suggest that packing should begin weeks ahead of the
move. Sometimes even months. But it all depends on the size of the house and
belongings you need to pack.
Once that is settled it will not be difficult for you to pack or move anything.
Subsequently, you will have more time on your hands. You can keep a track of
all the boxes, check if the doors and windows are closed, and make sure all the
connections have been unplugged.
Instead, you cannot run-away from a thorough check. It is an integral part of
the move and double-checking is a moving tradition that everybody should
follow.
