What does disgust taste like?

Maybe like a rotten egg puree?

Or a moldy bologna and cheese sandwich?

 

What about frustration and anger?

Does it feel like a jalapeño

That sits on your tongue,

Burning away into a hot, spicy mess?

Or is the feeling more like wasabi,

Where it floats up to your head

And provokes those horrible fantasies

Of how to quell the spice?

 

And Joy and happiness?

To some, it might be sweet

And refreshing, like a coconut

Or a watermelon.

To others it might simply be

The satisfying crunch of a carrot.
