a place for dark shepherd, Anubis.

With blissful abyss came dependence,

a sacrifice worth all his prowess

to ring both our hearts with assonance.

Lightning struck through the

gasping tree as it wept.

It’s final tears before its

lowly crumble to the ground.

The layers of strength that

had protected it for years

had fallen apart, leaving behind a

poor child who lost their strength.
