What The Thunder Said, Vol 4 What the Thunder Said vol. 7 | Page 22

Some people face certain social pressures in life like girls; grow up, get married, have children. Or you know like Alexander the Great; grow up, be great, conquer the world. You know the usual. But me I have it easy. Grow up and wait until I’m eaten. Oh yeah you should know, I’m an apple. Yes, I realize that you must be wondering how an apple has knowledge of Alexander the Great. You must think I’m wise and magical. However, the truth is I don’t know how I know. It’s just there, like most things that the average teen knows. I am of the Honey Crisp variety of apples, the most superior if you ask me. But no one does, for I can’t talk. I’m just a mute blob of life waiting to be eaten. I aspire to be great and famous one day like the apple that poisoned Snow White or the apple that invented gravity while hitting Isaac Newton on the head, I’ve even heard that one apple got a modeling job for a phone company. Sadly, I probably won’t aspire to such great things. For what is the world through the perspective of an apple?
